Hello! I'm David Dasa, a Medical Doctor with seven years of clinical experience across Nigeria and the UK. I'm passionate about addressing healthcare challenges through technology, working at the intersection of healthcare, AI, and Extended Reality (XR).
Current Research
I'm currently pursuing a PhD at Bournemouth University, focusing on Advanced Non-Player Character (NPC) Systems for XR Healthcare Simulation. My research aims to develop AI-driven NPCs for XR training environments, enabling effective self-study and teamwork simulations in healthcare training.
Academic Achievement
I hold an MSc in Digital Health & Artificial Intelligence from Bournemouth University (with distinction). My dissertation explored remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) technology for hypertension screening in individuals with darker skin tones, conducting valuable fieldwork in Nigeria.

Vision & Goals

Through my PhD research, I aim to improve the realism and educational value of XR healthcare simulations, providing learners with robust tools for skill development in dynamic, safe, and repeatable settings.
